I love what I do - I'm a mother to my 2 year-old baby girl named Gemma, wife to my amazing husband Scott, sister (youngest of 6) to my wonderful brothers and sisters, and daughter to my supportive and sweet mother and father (may he rest in peace). I am also a photographer in the Bay Area with passion for people and telling stories.
For 15 years I produced video games, focusing mainly on art, animation and story. Now I'm applying those artistic and story-telling skills to my photography and having so much fun!
Thanks so much for stopping by and checking out my site. Drop me a comment and let me know what you think - I love hearing from folks! :)
Katie and Kyle are so sweet, so fun and so great together. They met 2 years ago while they were both in seminary in Kansas City. Kyle described it something like this…It had just started raining and Katie wasn’t wearing any shoes – she likes to run barefoot in the rain. Katie was her bubbly self and Kyle was a little shy. But in between classes, they found out they had so many things in common, similar musical tastes, their love of books, nature and God. They hit it off and they’ve been together since. Now they are finishing their studies at Berkeley University and looking forward to getting married this summer.

Their love of nature and walking took us to Berkeley’s Rose Garden where they often enjoy the scenery and read together. We had so much fun exploring the space and having them just be them. Below are some of my favorites from our afternoon together.
They brought two of the many books they love to read. Katie’s was ‘How Poets see the World’ and Kyle’s was ‘Being and Time’ – they were so cute, they couldn’t stop laughing.
I love how sweet and intimate this shot is.
Sweet light for one of the sweetest couples I have ever met.
Katie & Kyle, thank you for spending the afternoon with me and sharing your love and affection for each other with me. I really enjoyed getting to know you and am excited for your new lives together. Enjoy!
Melissa & Fernando are such an amazing couple and I feel very honored to have spent the day celebrating their love and new life together with all of their friends & family. Enjoy their slideshow!

Melissa and Fernando were married in September in Berkeley at the GAIA Arts Center and I had the pleasure of capturing their amazing wedding. The day was filled with so much joy and laughter and dancing. It was a fantastic time for all. Below are a few of my favorites from the day.

Melissa was such a gorgeous and glamorous bride:
They have an amazing group of fun friends that kept us all laughing through the whole event:
Ok, I posted this one in their ‘sneak peak’ post but I love it so much I want to post it again! 🙂
We had such a great time dancing the whole night. I love how elated Melissa looks here:
We took a little break from the reception and did a night-time shoot:
Fernando had changed into his father’s white wedding suit and it took the party to a whole new level. Here they are at the end of the night…
I met Elizabeth and Eric in the summer when they took me up on my engagement session giveaway. I never got a chance to upload their photos. So in honor of their marriage this weekend, here are some of my favorites of this adorable, rock-climbing, outdoorsy, super smart (he’s a Berkeley professor and she has a Ph.D & does environmental research) and awesome couple. They were so fun to work with and kept laughing through the whole session.

We started out in their backyard:
Then we just had to head up to Indian Rock to honor their rock-climbing and love of the outdoors and environment.
Elizabeth and Eric, thank you for sharing the afternoon with me and super congrats on the wedding! 🙂
Margo and Will are such a fun and amazing couple. They go so well together, laughing and joking around all the time, it was totally contagious. Inbetween all the laughter they were also really great at bringing on the sexy. So much fun to shoot!

We shot at Santa Clara University where it all started. Somehow we were able to get into the exact room where they took their fateful class together. They even sat in the same places and reenacted some of their in-class flirting. It was too awesome. We had a great time, below are some of my favorites.
We originally wanted to shoot at Santa Row but dropped the idea when we found out we had to pay $150 for a permit. What?! We did go there at night though and managed to sneak some shots in. Yes, we are sneaky! Ha!
Margo and Will, thank you so much for letting me in on the fun of capturing your love, friendship and laughter. Your wedding will be fantastic and I can’t wait for the aftershoot!
I’m so happy to post these pictures of Ellie and Sam’s post-wedding shoot. We had such a fun and adventurous time walking around in SF’s Mission District finding cool places to shoot and meeting all sorts of interesting people. They both live in NY and they wanted an urban yet romantic feel to their shoot and I think we got it. Below are some of my favorites:

Funny how things happen, just as I was thinking of doing a shot like this, it happened and Ellie and Sam were so on it. Thank you to the cab drivers for holding up traffic for us.
I love newlyweds, so passionate!
We found a really fantastic restaurant with great lighting and they happily let us shoot there. I love the dramatic lighting!
